Some unethical lawyers use telemarketers to call you after your auto accident. Ohio Revised Code Section 2305.10 prohibits lawyers calls after an auto accident, meaning any lawyer using telemarketers to contact you ARE BREAKING THEIR ETHICS CODE!
Be aware that many telemarketers "working with doctors offices" are really hired and paid for by lawyers. These telemarketers may try to schedule you with a doctor's office which is legal, but after they do or even if you do not schedule, they will pressure you into accepting a call transfer to the lawyer so they can sign you up. They may even text you a Docusign contract to sign and some people do unknowing sign a contract with the lawyer this way. Don't worry if you did, you can get out of this contract. We don't know about you, but we always trust local vs. out-of-state anything. Plus, the increase in the amount of telemarking calls people are getting these days are mostly coming from these out-of-state law firms. Yuck!
